Songs in the Key of Love, {part five}

Ever heard of The Weepies? You probably have without knowing it. Their music is continuously used for commercials, movies, and other promotional material. They write lovely songs that are so honest and relatable. Although I have many many favorites, I chose the following Weepies song as I think it works as an everyday love song fit for a Wednesday. Enjoy.

I Gotta Have You, The Weepies

Lyrics:

Gray, quiet and tired and mean
Picking at a worried seam
I try to make you mad at me over the phone.
Red eyes and fire and signs
I'm taken by a nursery rhyme
I want to make a ray of sunshine and never leave home

No amount of coffee, no amount of crying
No amount of whiskey, no amount of wine
No, nothing else will do
I've gotta have you, I've gotta have you.

Oh Callie, they have some great ones! One of my favorites is "World Spins Madly on": check it out.

Did you notice the two birds on the cover? Coincidence...I think not!
