A Mountie Wedding.

Ever since my trip to Regina and viewing the beautiful wedding photos on Thankful I have had Mountie-inspired weddings on the brain.
{Please Note: before you ask... this is not a sneaky way of announcing my Mountie-inspired wedding}.

While I was recently talking-weddings with a friend {who also loves a Mountie} I jumped at the chance to create her an inspiration board just-for-fun.

If she and her honey were planning a wedding it may begin with the following inspiration board:

Colour Palette: Red, charcoal, and white with hits of caramel.

Thanks for letting me do this for you, C: it was a lot of fun to start planning a 'mock wedding.' I hope you enjoy this Inspiration Board {even if it is just-for-fun at this point}.

Great Job! It is really difficult to plan a color scheme for a mountie wedding that is for sure! Mine was chocolate brown( does not class with red, yeallow or Navy) creame and hints of red.....not too much cause the RCMP red is a bright and too much can be over the TOP!
Thanks so much for reading & commenting!

Thank you for your kind words, Mrs. Gobeil.

Your colour palette sounds lovely.
I thought of basing a board on brown, too.

{Ya, I may have gone overboard with the red but I was loving the idea of its contrast against the white church and outdoor reception}.

Aren't they? That addition was a no brainer. {My future bride is in love with them, too}!

I love this page! I am marrying a Mountie this summer too.

You have some wonderful ideas. That church is the most beautiful! I fell in love with it when I attended hubbie's graduation at Depot.

It is so difficult to find something that does not clash with the Red Serge. We are having chocolate brown and sunflowers (my favorite flower). Thought that the sunflowers would tie in nicely with the yellow stripe.

Best of luck to all you "Mountie Brides"!

Hi Shelley, thanks for your comment!

I was just watching my Mountie graduate this past January and the church in snow was just gorgeous. One of my favorite things about Depot. I was so excited when my "future client" expressed interest in it.

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! What a delicious colour palette. I am planning on making a few more "inspiration boards" with colour palettes that compliment the serge. You'll have to check back and, please, share some of the details from your wedding!
