{Please Note: before you ask... this is not a sneaky way of announcing my Mountie-inspired wedding}.
While I was recently talking-weddings with a friend {who also loves a Mountie} I jumped at the chance to create her an inspiration board just-for-fun.
If she and her honey were planning a wedding it may begin with the following inspiration board:
{Photo Credits - clockwise from top left}
- Red tulips with bear grass for bridesmaids in black or red dresses would make a dramatic statement.
- This rustic "Wedding this Way" sign would be fitting for your outdoor reception.
- Have you seen a Serge-clad couple so beautiful? Just lovely.
- Your ceremony venue: the chapel at RCMP training facility, Regina SASK.
- The cutest 'reminder': an "i love you" sign.
- The oldest building in Regina.
- RCMP Stetson {takes on a double meaning in this case}.
- What Prairie Wedding would be complete without a collector's truck for transportation?
- A beautiful out door Wedding table top
- A classic pump for a classic bride.
- Sassy Bridal Party style in your colour palette {I really like the combination of black and red dresses for MOH and bridesmaids}
- What a great idea: table numbers on the labels of wine!
- Images from a beautiful outdoor reception.
- Stunning outdoor table tops.
- A gorgeous Bridal Bouquet.

Ahh! Its awesome!! I can totally picture it:D That little church is quite adorable!
Love the truck idea. And the wine bottles with the table number labels!
Nice work Court! Cant wait to show my Mountie!
Yay, I'm so glad you like it.
{Can't wait to put it into action... nudge, nudge}
Great Job! It is really difficult to plan a color scheme for a mountie wedding that is for sure! Mine was chocolate brown( does not class with red, yeallow or Navy) creame and hints of red.....not too much cause the RCMP red is a bright and too much can be over the TOP!
Thanks so much for reading & commenting!
Haha I cant wait to put it into action too! sigh! so in love:P
Thank you for your kind words, Mrs. Gobeil.
Your colour palette sounds lovely.
I thought of basing a board on brown, too.
{Ya, I may have gone overboard with the red but I was loving the idea of its contrast against the white church and outdoor reception}.
Oh,those shoes are fabulous!
Aren't they? That addition was a no brainer. {My future bride is in love with them, too}!
I love this page! I am marrying a Mountie this summer too.
You have some wonderful ideas. That church is the most beautiful! I fell in love with it when I attended hubbie's graduation at Depot.
It is so difficult to find something that does not clash with the Red Serge. We are having chocolate brown and sunflowers (my favorite flower). Thought that the sunflowers would tie in nicely with the yellow stripe.
Best of luck to all you "Mountie Brides"!
Hi Shelley, thanks for your comment!
I was just watching my Mountie graduate this past January and the church in snow was just gorgeous. One of my favorite things about Depot. I was so excited when my "future client" expressed interest in it.
Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! What a delicious colour palette. I am planning on making a few more "inspiration boards" with colour palettes that compliment the serge. You'll have to check back and, please, share some of the details from your wedding!
