The jewelry created by Vancouver-based Simply Sublime is both unique and beautiful.
Each piece is handmade of Sterling Silver or Gold Filled chain and embellished with gorgeous stones such as Tourmaline, Citrine, Chalcedony, Rose Quartz, Blue Topaz, Garnets, Amazonite, Mother of Pearl, Turquois Aquamarine, Green Rutiliated Quartz, Real Pearls, Oil Jade and Moonstone to name a few.

The Simply Sublime Atelier recently opened its doors to the public after Owner and Designer Constantina James received many requests. That's right, you can view these beauties in person at 3737 Oak Street, Vancouver {also, an Atelier will be open in Kelowna, BC}. For now, these images {and the many others featured in their online collection} will have to do.

Kelowna Photographer: Captured Moment

You may recognize Captured Moments Photography from a previous post.

The husband and wife team of Angela and Steve Murray are the creative genius behind Captured Moments Photography. Together, they promise to capture unique, candid, and unforgettable shots to document your wedding. I'm a wee bit smitten with this wedding. The bride's dress, the view, the vintage truck, not to mention the beautiful winery... C'est parfait.

I just love how Angela is able to evoke the fun that this couple is having with their wedding party through her photography. She captured some priceless images that surely made for a amazing wedding album.

I am very excited to work with Miranda for the first time on Ryan and Angela's wedding. Judging by the beautiful engagement shots she took last September, we are in for a gorgeous collection of photos.

California Wine Fair 2009

Would you like the opportunity to taste over 300 wines from 90 Californian wineries? Representatives from wineries in the Napa, Sonoma, and Central Coast regions will be on hand when the California Wine Fair visits Vancouver on Tuesday March 3. [Seven additional Canadian dates are listed on the site].

The event will take place at the Vancouver Convention and Exhibition Centre and promises to be both entertaining and informing. Tickets are currently available from the Arts Club for $65 [$50 Group Rate for 6 or more].

With hors d'oeuvres, live entertainment, and an extensive list of wineries, this event will make for a fantastic evening. Although perfect for a girls night out, California Wine Fest may also assist engaged couples looking to narrow down their wine list.

Frocks Modern Bridesmaids

Since Angie and her girls will be heading out in search of bridesmaids dresses shortly, I thought I would put together a preview of what they will find when they visit Vancouver's Frocks Modern Bridal.

Frocks is a shop created by bridesmaids for bridesmaids. That's right ladies, they have dresses you can wear again. Below is a peek at the various designers they carry to help get your excited for your day of dress shopping.

Angie, Charsa offers colours bordeaux and eggplant in their shantung dupioni fabric. [They also offer celery and meadow in satin ribbon sashes if you're interested. I think cream or tan would be a lovely contrast, too].

Clearly, Jenny Yoo offers an eggplant option. I am not sure which of the various fabrics and styles frocks will have in, however they may be able to place an order for you.

Songs in the Key of Love, {part six}

Today's song is one of my not-so-guilty pleasures. I am in love with Moulin Rouge! for its fabulous costumes, sets [I adore her elephant], acting, and of course its soundtrack. If you haven't seen this film, rent it. It's directed by the amazing Baz Luhrmann, whose most recent film Australia is just as beautiful. I'm not embarrassed to say that I can recite the whole soundtrack, however the Elephant Love Medley has to be my favorite. [Even though I often begin singing it at inopportune moments]. Sorry hunny, but this will have to do until I visit the real thing. Now, turn it up sing along. Enjoy.
