Wow. I think I'm still coming off my holiday hangover.
B, B, and I are heading to Vancouver for our nephew's baptism tomorrow and my ma & pa's birthdays. What are you up to this weekend?
By-the-by, if you've been waiting for me to finally share the details of our Boardwalk Empire-themed New Years Party, do visit next week. You won't regret it. Best.NYE.Ever.
Ez of Creature Comforts has created one of the sweetest calendars for 2011 that I've seen. And she's giving it away as a free printable download. I'm prepping my colour ink cartridge now...
My sister and I have a love affair with music. We are always filling each other in on new artists, albums + bands. Her latest find is particularly awesome and I've nearly played this song on repeat since she shared it with me a month or so ago.
i hate you just kidding is an amazingly talented duo with so many sweet lyrics and chords they'll rot your teeth. They're based out of California and their sound just makes me want to curl up on a blanket around a camp fire while sun goes down. Especially this song.
Who your favourite new artist/band? If you like music like I like music we should probably be friends on iTunes Ping. Search me.
Lately I've been all about stamps. I made my own gift tags this Christmas and it was a lot of fun mixing materials and creating unique tags to attach to our packages. I would LOVE to add some fun new stamps to my modest collection; any one of the options in the Yellow Owl Workshop would be perfect. (My favourites are the patio set and the bicycle!)
Have you been crafty as of late? What is your next project?
Have you had the chance to see Blue Valentine? It is on my list of must-sees and I hope to catch it on my next trip to Vancouver. This clip gives me shivers + butterflies...
Confession: I'm struggling to settle into a 2011 routine and I think I might need a day or two more until regular blog posts return. I have a million ideas rolling around in my head and no time to delve through them. There are going to be some changes for C Star Events. A proverbial face lift, if you will.
While I begin the blue prints for the nips + tucks, I wanted to share photos from this wedding because I think Sam + Brock will love some of these details. I love the sunflowers and I love the yellow. (Succulent boutonnieres are awesome, too).
Dancing down the aisle is on my list of to do's this year + I don't even care whose wedding it is... Cue "Marry You."
It's official: twinkly light rule my world and light streaming through a barn wall is beyond beautiful. Aren't these mismatched runners sweet?
So lovely.
Thank you all for your patience. This work in progress is in progress...
The past week has been a busy one (and is the reason for the lack of post-Christmas-posts). I'm going to hit the ground running as we roll into 2011 - it has a nice ring to it, doesn't it? 2011.
B & I are hosting a 1920's-Boardwalk Empire-themed party to bid 2010 adieu. Ten of our fabulous friends are making the snowy trek up from the coast!!! It should be one for the books.
I hope you all have a safe and altogether lovely New Years Eve. It's been real, 2010. Cheers.
Wow. Where did this week go? There were so many things I wanted to post before Christmas and I'm almost out of time. The last few days have been spent cleaning, baking, packing, wrapping, and shopping in anticipation of our trip down to Vancouver today!
If I don't make it back to blogland before the twenty-fifth, I want to take a moment to say that I hope you all have a happy and safe Christmas. I am so thrilled with where my blog journey has taken me over the last year and I am so luck to have met some fantastic people. I appreciate all of your support - those that know me personally and those who read the blog on occasion. Your comments and emails put a smile on my face daily.
As I previously mentioned, Vancouver's body politic has one of the prettiest wreaths around. They've just shared a few shots of this year's holiday decor on their facebook page and the store looks absolutely gorgeous. I can't wait to visit during my Christmas trip to Vancouver.
Follow up note: Check out the rest of the decorations on bp's blog.
